kids are gone what to do!

Well the kids are gone to grandmas and grandpas (Ryans) for a week and I have no clue what I'm going to do! I know what I NEED to do but I'm sure those are the things that wont get done! Josh and I have been sleeping at the office in hopes that we will have some walk-ins and make some more money! We are back down to one car and our washer is broken! Tell you what although it is a pain to load up all your dirty clothes and take them to the laundry mat it is kinda cool to be able to do more than one load at a time AND I actually fold the clothes right out of the dryer!! But it is kinda expensive! Anyway its funny how you always say I'm going to do this this and this (when the kiddos are gone) and then dont do any of it AND then complain when they get home and relize that nothing got done and now there is DEFENITLY not time to do it! lol Well I guess thats life but right now I think I'm going to make a check list and try to get some things accomplished befor sunday when the kids come home! :)

My kids are....I dont even know a good word!

So I know that most of you would probably say your kids are the same way. BUT if you moved in with me for a week you would see that MY kids are the messiest on the planet! Nothing drives me crazier than to spend a whole day cleaning just for them (husband included in this one) to come home and destroy everything I've done in less than 10 min.! It like they come through the door and flip there shoes off in the middle of the floor...Then for some reason they have to change there cloths...Of course those go in the middle of the floor..And I 'm not talking the floor in there rooms its in the hallway in the living room and even in the kitchen! WHO gets dresses in the KICHEN! For some reason my kids dont know how to flush I thought kids liked to flush toliets! they are 6 and 7 for crying out loud !!! They will ask to get snacks and drop the wrapper where ever they open it....I could go on and on trust me...Anyway the other night we asked them to clan there rooms but they decided they would just fight with each other all night instead...My son has it figured out!! They make an agrement to "HELP" each other clean thier rooms ...They always start in his room (because its messier) about 3/4 the way through he kicks her out and refuses to help her clean! Which ALWAYS causes a fight well after listening to this for over an hour we sent them to bed! And after seeing the rooms looked no better than before they started we decided they needed to be "grounded ". So along with cleaning there rooms not being able to play with there friends we had them do other chores! Mckenna of course got her room done 1st so I gave her a chore I thought she would hate but shes still at the age she likes to "help mommy"!  So I'm going to take full advantage of it!
Cleaning the baseboards with a old tooth brush and non-toxic all natural cleaners!

So long story short. I dout this will change anything I'm sure my kids will still be as messy in a week  BUT in the mean time my house will be cleaner! now my son is going to clean out and wipe out a few bottom cabinets !  ;)

Its been a LONG LONG day!

Well if you dont know my husband is a bondsman. Our phones are always ringing and there is always most likley a crack head on the other end. Its only in the movies the people only get one phone call while in jail! We have the same idiots that call us over and over untill they finally get out. Then after they get do get out they do something to piss off there wife or husband and we have them calling us wanting us to go pick the person they just spent hundreds of dollars bonding out and go throw them back in jail! Its never ending! I would probably pass out from excitment if we could make it through one night or movie or heck even one meal with out the phone ringing! My husband was so busy last night he actually spent the night at the office! He wrote 4 bonds in the middle of the night!! Which is good for us because we need the money but not good on him he is the type that needs like 10 hours of sleep to function properly! I'm just glad we have a big office that has a bed and a make-shift kitchen! It comes in handy when we have those long nights! The kids used to think it was cool to hang out play and sleep there now they cringe everytime we even mention stopping by there!
I think he looks good in purple! :)

Anyway I bet he (my husband) wont stay up till 1-2 in the morning playing Evony tonight! LOL! I despise that stupid game!

Just thought I'd add a picture of my little devils! They sure are cute but you know the saying NEVER judge a book by its cover! ;) This was taken on Easter Hayden age 7 and Kenna 5 in the pic.

Lazy Sunday afternoon!

Well I think most kids like to help in the kitchen and my little 6 year old is no exception! She went with me to the store today to get groceries for dinner and dessert. While I was gathering all the ingredients for peanutbutter and chocolate chip cookies I saw a cake mix that caught my eye Mississippi Mud Supreme Bars. While I'm not sure if this is a new item I've never seen it before. Kenna wasnt so sure about getting something with "mud" in the title but I reasurred her that it would be good. She agreed bc. she wanted the boxtop that she collects for her school.

It wasnt two minutes after we got home she was begging to start cooking! I cant wait for the day I can turn her loose on her own in the kitchen. Although I do cherrish the time I spend in the kitchen with her teaching her measurments and such. I also figure when she is old enough to do it on her own she wont want to!
Here she is preparing the crust. It really was so Simple she might have been able to do it on her own...If only she could read just a little better!
Pouring in the cake batter!! This Missippi mud was the fastest and easiest I've EVER done
all ready to go in the oven (the part she always gets mad at me for NOT letting her do!

Mmmmmmm.....and the part evey kid and husband waits for and fights over!

TA-DA!! well I was going to say It was the fastest easiest and PROBABLY has less calories than a homemade MMC but after reading the Nutrition Facts I dont think thats the case has 15 serving (keep in mind thats in a 8x8 pan) 120 calories per servings! Well I don't think I've ever cut a 8x8 pan into 15 servings!! You def. need some milk with this but if you have a sweet tooth you will love this!

Today is the day!

I've always wanted to start a blog! Although I'm not a great writer or speller I thought it would be a fun thing to do..Something else to add to my schedule :).  I keep my self pretty busy with my work and 2 kids and sewing! So I'm not really sure how often I will be able to update but I'd like to ATLEAST once a week! Once I figure this thing out I'll post some more picture of my family and the things I sew etc... I'm hoping to make some new blooger friend get some good recipes and other ideas off here. Thanks for stopping by and taking time to read my blog
